Welcome, Explorer!

What if your child looked forward to learning each month…

Not on a screen—but with their hands, in their backyard, and out in the world?

The Curious Bee Nature Club is a monthly letter adventure designed for K-3rd Grade Kids —where each delivery sparks curiosity, encourages outdoor exploration, and brings science to life through simple, hands-on discovery and observation.

Every month, your child will receive a letter in the mail box from The Curious Bee, a friendly explorer who is always asking questions, discovering new things, and inviting your child along for the journey.

Together, among other things, they’ll:

Observe nature and the world around them

Learn about plants, pollinators, and ecosystems

Explore the outdoors with guided activities

Experience the excitement of real mail and the joy of receiving physical letters addressed to your Nature Explorer

real mail, addressed to them!

Meet Mrs. Denise

The heart behind The Curious Bee Nature Club is Mrs. Denise, a passionate K–3rd grade science teacher at an elite private elementary school in St. Louis.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has dedicated her career to helping children not just learn science—but experience it.

Her class is anything but ordinary.

Right outside (and sometimes inside), her students get to:

Care for several live bee hives
Do nature walks on the wooded trails around the school
Explore the greenhouse attached to her classroom
Observe and raise other living things like quail and various insects
Engage with nature in real, tangible ways every day

But over the years, Mrs. Denise noticed something concerning…

Many children today rarely:

  • Play freely outside
  • Explore creeks, fields and forests
  • Observe the natural world up close

And with that, something important was being lost—

curiosity, wonder, and a connection to the world around them.

A Deeper Purpose

An adult tending a lush backyard vegetable and flower garden.

“science isn’t just facts—it’s a way of seeing.”

— Mrs. Denise

She sees the importance of all things, from the smallest seed to the busiest bee, and she loves helping children discover those connections for themselves.

The Curious Bee Nature Club was created to:

Encourage kids to step outside and explore

Help them notice the beauty and design in nature

Build confidence through hands-on discovery

Spark meaningful conversations between kids and parents

Small Questions Lead to Big Adventures and a Lasting Impact

Sometimes the most meaningful learning doesn’t happen in a classroom…

It happens in the dirt, under a tree, watching a bee land on a flower or studying the clouds.

Let’s help kids rediscover that.
